Help with installing sparks on Windows 7

Hello,

I just discoverred sparks and trying to follow a tutorial to install sparks for the codeigniter-Wordpress library/spark don't even know what it is anymore.

So, when I go to my command line and type:
php -v I get this:
PHP 5.3.13 (cli) (built: May 14 2012 02:50:59)
Copyright....
Zend Engine v2.3.0 with Xdebug v2.2.0

But when I try this:
c:\sites\ciwp>$ php -r "$(curl -fsSL http://getsparks.org/go-sparks)"

I get this error: '$' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

In my PATH I have this: c:\drush;c:\Program Files\GnuWin32\bin\;c:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.13\php.exe;

What am I doing wrong?
