Editor for CI

PHP Helios Eclipse

It is the editor that I am using to code with CI.

And also, it shows the whole directory structure of the CI folders. You can go to any folder, any file and customize it with Eclipse.

And try to work in Ubuntu, its coOl. Wink

Eclipse tells the auto opening and closing HTML tags. It marks the cross sign in the line of the file which has error (syntax), without loading in the browser.

Thankss Angel

A lot of editors out there also do that. Try phpstorm, netbeans, sublime text to begin the journey in the jungle.
But isn't eclipse very heavy and laggy?

I'm using Sublime Text 3 which is almost free and i can run it on my laptop, my toaster and pretty much everywhere. It has awesome plugins and its extremely fast. You add a plugin like Emmet and its just epic

I agree, Sublime Text is my favorite to. Its a per user licence witch allows me to use it on my pc at home, the pc at the office and on my laptop. There are some codeigniter autocomplete plugins available to for Sublime.
