upgrading from 2.0.2 to 3.0.4 |
I'm reviving a web app project from 5 years ago that was built on CI 2.0.2 with a lightly modified core/system. What's the best way to upgrade it to 3.0.4?

Starting at 2.02, you're going to want to step through all of the upgrade guides to make sure you don't break something. If I instead do a fresh install of CI 3.0.4 and then forklift the app code and try to retrofit the lightly custom core/system code in, are there any general issues I need to be aware of due to the big version jump? Most of the big changes happened at 3.0, and the upgrade guide is very specific as to what you need to look for and what needs to be done. |
