Hey guys, I’m glad to let you know that Blaze 0.90 is now online and available for download. You can read the full update on the blog: http://blaze.haughin.com/2008/03/10/blaze-090-released/ I'd really appreciate it if you guys could test this out, even in it's very 'basic' form. There's been a good lot of core changes that should make development much quicker and more substantial now. Also, there will be an installer release soon! Elliot

Right, everyone's having login issues... I imagine encryption of the password is causing problems on different platforms/php versions. So, now there is no default username/password... just login for the first time, and it'll create that user as the 'super user'. Simple. Encryption now uses CI's functions, to make sure it's all good across different environments. Try the new ZIP I've just put online, it should solve quite a few problems. There's also a new install.txt with some basic instructions before the installer goes in next weekend. This whole experience has been forcing me to learn new things, and it's really starting to pay off. If you can get Blaze Installed, just take a quick look at it. The flexibility that we have in this new core is immense. We could literally have different block assignments for every page. Your front-end themes can look so different from a 'standard' CMS... because Blaze doesn't restrict your design. And, themes are bundled and distributed in 1 folder, which includes all of its static elements too. Modules are also bundled into 1 folder, for both frontend and backend functions. Keep a close eye on Blaze, because now that I've got a good bit of the core written, I can really focus on building more functionality into it, and a very fast rate. Elliot
