Regarding file Upload

Hi
I wanna change the name of the uploading file.How can i do it ?
Let me make my question clear suppose i'm uploading a file xwy.gif but i want to saved the file as uploaded.gif to the server .

I'm not completely sure but the basic principle would be to upload the file then rename it when it is on the server.
