I stumbled upon Pixel's CI directory (thanks to his sig) and all i can say is it made it easier to find things that have been done in CI, otherwise one would be searching all the forums posts trying to find it all.
As some have said, Joomla is good and easy to set up, creating a directory listing like CI directory is no easy thing to do.
also, ExpressionEngine is supposedly going to be built on top of CI (if i remember correctly).
