enabling gzip compression

Hello,

I have enabled output compression $config['compress_output'] = TRUE; but when I test my project using this service http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ it says the site is not using compression. is there anything else I should enable to make it work? thanks

forget about it. I have a splash page which comes before anything else. if I remove that, gzip checkers are in fact able to detect gzip compression is enables. thanks anyway
