wiredesignz, there are going to be a fair number of people coming over to the CI forums who aren't familiar with CI. Saying Read the User Guide isn't going to help them get up to speed. I try to point to the docs in question, so that others reading the thread will be able to find the information, and possibly not have to post.

Sue, did you notice the example I posted, showing the exact way to use anchor attributes.

I'm sure Ellislab spent a lot of time preparing the User Guide, It's a waste not to use it don't you think?.

I did notice it, and it got added to my de.li.ci.ous pages.

What I'm saying is that if there is a solution that you have that includes mentioning the User Guide, linking to the particular page in the Guide would be helpful too.

I actually created a wiki entry for a link to a PDF version of the docs. Time for some reading.

@Sue: There should be a link from this forum directly to the User Guide.

Then I wouldnt have to open a new browser window, navigate to the appropriate section and copy and paste a link to help posters who would be able to do it for themselves.
