upgrading of version

Hi dear Sir,

I am facing problem of upgrading version of codeignitor form 1.4.1 to 1.6.1. What should i do for that. please guide me.
As i have in user guide but there is step by step i have to come back. Is there a way that I can move directly from 1.4.1 to 1.6.1

You have to join the 1.6.1, or 1.6.2 which is the most recent version, update page with the 1.6.0 update page to upgrade from the 1.4.x versions. Then the upgrade process should be a breeze.

Yes, so just to add to xwero's comment, you'll need to upgrade each version one at a time. Go from 141 to 151, then 152, then 153, etc, until you get all the way to 1.6.2. Don't forget to back everything up and test as you go!
