We are planning to upgrade our systems to CodeIgniter 3. As part of the process, we want to migrate to MySQL 8. However, when using CodeIgniter 2, we encountered an error stating "Server sent charset unknown to the client." Interestingly, this issue doesn't seem to occur in CodeIgniter 3. Do you have any insights on whether it's possible to run MySQL 8 with CodeIgniter 2?
