Nope, There never was any source that David released, you have to follow the video's.

Is there something modern? on version 4.3.x? I have long wanted to look at a large project using codeigniter, but have not found a suitable one. With the use of validation (+ custom), entities, services.. Everywhere in the old-fashioned way they use arrays that do not expand well. All these videos are suitable for example, but not production

You might want to check out Alex Lancer's videos. I found them to be quite informative.

I see channel on youtube. But I didn't find the right one. His tutorial is the problem I was talking about: there is little abstraction, only arrays. all the code is in the controllers
