I've always used XINHA for my projects, I've got it running fine with CI and a <base href=""> tag. The BSD license lets you put it wherever you want. If anyone wants my config file that I built for the ImageManager plugin let me know!

tinymce is really working fine with me if you want to upload pictures use tinybrowser plugin for tinymce it will be you pictures,file and video uploader and easy to manage. and it is much more better than fckeditor another good thing is it can also check your css file classes and put in style drop down you can easyly decorate you html elements really easy to manage.
