Looking for Free Simple Coding Software with Code Outlines

Anyone know any good free coding software, not sure I need an IDE. All I want is something like notepad++, but with a code outliner that shows dropdown with class with it's methods and functions. I've tried Eclipse's PHP software, but it seems to complicated for my uses.
