resizing Tiff Images

Hello All,

i m uploading tiff image from upload library in CI and after uploading i m resizing the image but for tiff this give me error

Your server does not support the GD function required to process this type of image.

what should be the best solution to this.

You need to make sure your host supports GD. If not, you need a host that will. DreamHost and Media Temple are the two I would recommend.

My host supports GD but That version of GD don't have code to resize tiff images.

so now i am asking is there any version of GD that supports this kind of images too

OR

is there any other solution to this problem.

i just resolved this: imagemagick... it has very fast convert function which i call after i generate an intermediate png... it's a bit big package and i use only 0.01% of its capabilities, but it does the job... just thought somebody could use this...
