Blog script and forum script

Is there point to write blog script and forum script or there are such ready-made open source scripts available somewhere

care to share some ?

Sometimes there's no point it's like reinvent the wheel but it depends what features you want.
Right now i'm working on a very basic forum .

At present I am working on both these solutions. However my Forums script is already launched and available for download :

All built on Codeigniter

I am currently working on Dove Blog and both these packages work together as one. So you will have just one admin panel and everything will be contained in that.

@Bainzy i have downloaded your forum and it's very easy to implemented thanks but there's a but ...i don't like the urls...

alexaaaaaaaaaa - Thanks for your comment bud. The urls have being changed in the up-coming version that's currently in development.

you can read about these upcoming changes on my blog. I have posted the first feature set preview today.
