Guys I've got great news for you! I am developing new version. It should be much faster (90%). It's completely rewritten (core).

* absolute paths (relative caused bugs)
* rewritten blocks
* rewritten includes
* new features like disabling or xss_clean
* backward compatible

I'm testing it for a moment. If you have time or interest, feel free to write me, I will send you a copy.

[quote author="Tominator" date="1274222669"]It works great, I've made a video (of my testing):

I can not see the video. Is it divx or xvid encoded?

Sorry I don't know ... but I will prepare new video, and make it online.

Dear community,
thank you for your help, feedbacks and comments. I feel amazing, when somebody is using my parser. I'm trying to do my best and that's why I can officialy say, that Parser 2 is going to be released soon. If everything goes well, it will be 22.2.2011 (in 4 days). It's completly rewritten. It's really more then 90% faster. I really don't know, if is possible to make it faster (sure it is) Smile We were testing speed of parser on special script, which just dumped informations of about 6,7k products from DB and wrote inside XML file. With old Parser, whole process, from inistializing CI to the end, has taken 21 seconds. With new one, it was just 2 seconds!

So there are new cycles, new includes, new structure, but everything is backward compatible. New functions has been added. In version 2 you can parse (plain) strings too (that means you don't have to parse only files), there is added xss_clean support, for making your website safer place Smile

I have also added some small upgrades and made documentation more colorful, so I hope new parser will get everybody satisfied, because everything what you really need is just one short function which do all the job! I think, it just cannot be easier. I'm looking forward for your tips and feedbacks.

Thanks for reading,
Tom
