I am working on a real estate site where we have a section for our "featured" listings. I am looking to add another section just like it for a separate subset of listings but I am having trouble setting up the call to the view.
On our homepage we have this call

<?=$layout->get_featuredlistings_box()?>
which as far as I can tell makes a call to our listings_showfeaturedlistings_view and listings_showfeaturedlistings_model. I tried a similar set up for the other subset and got a mess of code on the homepage.
I can post the code if it helps but it is too much for this post. Any suggestions?
