Hello,
I am working on a site where I need to have lots of subdomains which are not physically created.
domain: mysite.com
subdomains: abc.mysite.com, abc1.mysite.com
My aim is whatever user type as a subdomain name, it will redirect to mysite.com whether there really exist a subdomain or not. I did that by using wildcard entry on my dns (*.mysite.com. A 123.123.123.001) and it is working for simple php code. But when I am installing CI on that server it is showing the 404 error of CI when Im typing an invalid subdomain name (asdf.mysite.com).
Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks.
