Hi guys
Have asked this over on the EE forums but no response.
Building a simple addon for EE (lots of experience with coding, but limited experience with EE and CI) but have the following issue:
Upon submitting a form and it fails validation how do you show the error on the same page without being forwarded to that terrible separate message page that EE suffers from?
I see that even this CI forum (running on EE) suffers from the same problem. (try submitting an empty login form)
Surely on form submit, and subsequent fail of validation, you can just continue rendering the page as you would do normally but with the error at the top? I must have missed something as this is the way that all other sites do it - why can't EE?
