White blank screen error on the dev server

Hi All,

I came across an interesting issue, which I can't solve for days.
I have updated my website on our development server through ftp, and the website stopped working, it shows only a white blank page in Mozilla, and shows 500 internal server error in Chrome.

I have tried to remove the .htaccess file, but it didn't help.
I also checked the config files many times, and they all seem all right.
I have tried to upload the site to a different server, and it works perfectly also works on my localhost.
Although, I am not a sysadmin I tried to check the file/folder ownerships, it all seems OK.

I would really appreciate any help...

Set your error reporting on in your index.php file. You can also enable database debugging in your config/database.php file. Try those and see if it generates an error you can try to resolve.

Thank you for your reply, I just needed to change the "system/logs" folder permission to 0777, and it solved the whole problem...
