Segmentation fault on Mac

Hello,

I am running Apache 2, PHP 5.3 and MySQL 5.0 on Mac OS 10.6.6. I was able to install BackendPro on top of my Codeigniter per installation instructions. However when I try going to the index page after successful install, the page does not load on the browser and when I tail Apache error log, I see the following:

[Wed Jan 26 08:06:08 2011] [notice] child pid 165 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
[Wed Jan 26 08:06:08 2011] [notice] child pid 164 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

If I put phpinfo.php on the same directory as the index page and load that, I can see output from phpinfo() no problems. Also, if I load index page on a separate CI installation without BackendPro, that page loads fine too.

I have searched on Google for this without any luck. Any help would be appreciated.

I went with MAMP choosing PHP 5.2 and the problem was solved -- was able to install and run Bep -- yes!
