Or they've registered 5 years ago and haven't done anything since.

On the forums I run, on average less then 10% of the users are active. Which has no relation to the usage of the product, some never have any questions, some just lurk without logging in (or even create an account, these forums are public).

Either way 10% of 194981 is almost 20K active users, enough to keep a development community more than alive, with developers of very low to very advanced level.
As of the real number of users using ci in projects, who could say for any framework?
Since I'm not quite visiting the lounge forums I found this topic quite relaxing while reading through the rest of the forum Smile

200k forum memberships is a good number to work with.

Of course there's no telling how many are actually using CI, but if 200k people have at some point decided that they had either a question or a contribution. . .

Satisfies my curiosity well enough.
