subdomain question

I have a few sub domains on my Connect-my-friends.com what i would like to do is remove the sub domain so all they see is connect-my-friends.com instead of alt.connect-my-friends.com i know you can do a htaccess rewrite but i have no idea how to do it an help or tutoral would be helpful my searches have got me nothing. :long:

do you want to redirect them to the 'sub-less' domain (or even redirect them to 'www'), or just make it appear as if what they see is part of that sub-domain?

i want to hide the sub domain all together i want them to think there still on the www site

i decide to just rewrite my index file so it will do what i want and keep them on the main domain if there would have been a rewrite it would have helped but i can just send in a var and make and if then else statement thx for your help
