Does anyone feels that the form_dropdown() build in function in CI isn't that slick / smooth ? It looks to me that the 1st time i click on the form_dropdown will only set the focus on that field, the 2nd click only it will drop down the list for me to select .. anyone ?

I don't think that has anythign to do with CI. All CI does is format the XHTML code for you - the form_dropdown() function would function exactly the same as writing out the SELECT element on your own.

You are right walesmad .. I create another 'SELECT' element using normal HTML rather than call form_dropdown() function, it looks the same for me. ..
from your experience what might be the problem then ?
