How to get_instance into MY_Exceptions ?

For some reason get_instance was moved into the controller (from 1.7.x to 2.0.x), so when i try to use get_instance in either MY_Exceptions or directly even in CI_Exceptions it's throwing a CI_Controller not found.

Any ideas ?
