Why is "id_clean()" Giving recurring Fatal Error ?

Hi - New to CI and am working through the Wrox book.

I keep getting the error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function id_clean() in C:\xampp\htdocs\CountryLane\application\models\mproducts.php on line 103

I've looked through the forums and can confirm that I have my security helper enabled with auto load, even though ID_clean is not a function within security.

I've check the models that they are being called correctly.

I just don't get it -
