now i am doing a project with some videos.I have uploaded the video files to a folder, but dont know how to play these videos. can any one suggest me the player to play these videos or is there any method to convert the video file to its iframe code during upload.

suggestions please...

Do you know the format for the video files?? flv, mp4, avi, mov e.g

Then we can suggest a number of different players for you to try, such as quicktime, windows media player, flv player or vlc etc

You could try Flowplayer.

There are some tools to convert videos to a specific format, but it required some configuration on the server which has some complexity.....

Has guides how you can embed your flash videos into the page and its free and yes you can run it from localhost
havent tried or looked at flowplayer but probably could do the same too.

How about an HTML5-Player? Have a look at this HTML5 player (even though it's for wordpress but can probably be ported easily to non-wordpress)
