Function naming

Can function names contain digits? I've read that it's permitted but not recommended. What do you guys think?

[eluser]InsiteFX[/eluser]
Functions cannot begin with a digit but it is up to you
personaly I do not use any digits at all!

agree with InsiteFX. i never use digit on my function or variable name.
it will make me confuse for fast reading code.
as you said, its permitted, but not recommended.
