Hi all

I am not new to programming but have created several php/mysql websites before mostly with static non-OO based code, my skills with OO, namespaces, class etc are extremely limited.

I recently attempted to use symfony and got a bit confused

They recommended I try codeigniter

I shall work through some tutorials

Symfony is a pain. CodeIgniter will be much better for you.

I forgot to mention
symfony had some very nice features over flat static php files such and nested templating and indexed associations in a database. What are the major difference between symfony and codeigniter?
