Using error_log() in CI.

Not using error_log() in CI.
[26-Sep-2012 16:20:40] Correct Time

When ever I do an error_log() from withing CI, I get the incorrect time. I already checked the php.ini and set the right timezone to America/New_York. Any idea how to fix this?
