ellislab.com forums slow access

Does anyone else find the ellislab.com/forums very slow to respond?

If I click a link it takes a good 5+ seconds before it will display a post.

Thankfully, ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-guide/ is ok. Otherwise it would be even more frustrating. The main site is also ok.

Just wondering.

Your computer problem?

It's slow for me this morning. Like click a link and wander away for coffee slow.

I'm experiencing the same problems from time to time. Sometimes page-loads are around seconds, sometimes I even just get a blank page since the server is not responding in time (request times-out).
For me it's not a computer/browser/ISP problem since I tried it with several different ISP using several browsers Wink

It's been mostly slow for me since they merged the CI site/forums with ellislabs. Didn't use the ellislabs site forums until then, so don't know if that is slower than it used to be for EE people, but coming from the CI site, it's definitely (painfully) slower. I'm on the west coast/USA.

Sometimes it seems "normal", but most of the time it's taking more than several seconds to load a page or post a response. Even 10-20 seconds long.

Yeah i'm pretty sure that was the point things became painfully slow.

I'm experiencing the same thing--was very responsive on the old CI forums, and very slow at times on these new forums.

This is still an issue for me. Forums are slowwwwwwwwwwww. If it's not just me then I would imagine ellislab would be concerned - how many new users have been turned away from EE when 'built on ee' is in the forum footer, and how many are checking out of forum posting because of it?

yep it's pretty terrible and seeing as it's a public web application, which is "built on ExpressionEngine" you'd think they'd be keen to make sure it runs like sh*t off a shiny shovel.

The PR dept needs a dry slap Wink
