The only library am current using is Modular Extensions - HMVC

However the popular ones that seem to get mentioned quite a lot are:

Flexi Auth
EZAuth
Ion Auth
DataMapper
Phil Sturgeon’s Cache Library
Phil Sturgeon’s Rest Library
Native Session Library
Template Library
Backend Pro

Am sure there is much more that I have missed out

HMVC. Not just to keep things modular but it also adds some very useful features.

I would add my Unit testing framework to that list, it is by no means popular (it is fairly new) but you might find it useful and use a lot when testing your application.

Here is a link to it: CIUnit Framework

I use:
- HMVC
- Smarty
- PhpMyEdit (my version) (instead of GROCERY CRUD)
- Unzip (Phil Sturgeon)
- HTML Purifier
- phpMorphy (for morphological search) (docs only in russian)
