Paste From Word!!!!

Holy Hell has this been a tough problem to conquer.

I'm creating a CMS for a client that insists on the ability to paste tons of text they format in Word and it must retain formatting. I've tried multiple WYSIWYG form editors and none of them seem to cut it (so far Spaw is my favorite for other reasons, but it has no "Paste From Word" feature at all).

Anyone have any suggestions on how to pull this off?

I believe so, but I really hated that editor.

You might try WysiwygPRO. It's a commercial product ($60 or so).

FCK has a paste from Word feature although I think the result will probably suck

That's the thing... a number of them have the feature, but none of them really do a good job at it. I tried WYSIWYGPro last night an it leaves in a bunch of extraneous XML.

TinyMCE permits this but... it doesn't works on Internet Explorer I think. (In my application doesn't works)

That's right. I found TinyMCE (and, honestly, most all of them) pretty buggy. Spaw, so far, is the most useful to me (even though it doesn't support paste from Word.

Hi, I had this problem a while ago and it drove me nuts aswell.

I used a class from phpclasses.org can't remember the exact one but it might be worth a search on there.

Cheers
