Allow users to add language lines

How to enable users to add translations/language-lines to the language files?

I was thinking for solution that goes through the DB as here described:

But since is no answer given there, I’ll ask too - if described solution somehow possible?

You cannot write to the language directory so you would need to create your own class to handle it using a database.
