Multilingual site.

hello, i'm a ~beginning~ coder and i just discovered the wonders of MVC and CI  
(CI makes this stuff too easy, i am getting lazy..)

I am looking into making a multilingual site as such:

http://mysite.com/en/controler/method/param
http://mysite.com/nl/controler/method/param

thus far i've looked into the language class and helper class which simplifies alot already, but i have no real way of getting these links, and an automatic determination of what language to use.

i have looked at some libraries but most of these are fairly old (2-3 yrs) and i don't know if they would be still compatible.
for ex. https://github.com/phpis/Localization-in-CodeIgniter

does anybody know something that might help me in the right direction?
