Why is CI Considered Bad Practice for Big Projects?

Any mention of frameworks these days and most people think of Ruby on Rails (The Framework). If you come from a php background then starting over again with Ruby(the language) can be a daunting task.

Frameworks should save you time, and if you find one that suits your needs or works for you then stick to it. CI has worked for me and its awesome as works behind the scenes for your simple email attachments, zip files and alot more!

I would say there is no harm in checking out other frameworks such as MERB.

Check out some of Rick Ellis's post at the Ellis Lab Blog. For me, anyone I've talked to with a solid programming background say go the Rails way. I've ordered some books, but it will take me some time to get used to the syntax!

Moral of the story is if CI is working for you then use it, and for bigger projects too.

I am concerned about the problems that people at twitter apparently had with rails though
can the same happen with CI?

@crumpet - I've never been much of a twitter follower dude, nor would i take too many people advice on programming from twitter users(my personal perspective). Dude go here and check it out - http://www.railsenvy.com or http://www.envycasts.com
