however...

at least brings up the postajob page although I get an error alert

The first is what I was referring to and it outlines the problem. The links are not created through CI, so you really do need a .htaccess .

I'm sorry to say I can't help you with the file naming problem. Try renaming it from the command line.

yahey I got it working -

AccessFileName ht.acl .htaccess

to my httpd.conf file, changed my .htaccess file name to ht.acl

uncommented this line:

#LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so

and voila - it works! Thankyou Google and inparo
