CI 1.6.3 with FreakAuth_light + Replacing session code? |

I just set up a new copy of CI 1.6.3 with FreakAuth 1.1 and have been experiencing some odd issues with the example scripts. For instance, once I login as my admin user, the following is displayed when I go to http://localhost/example/basic/ You are (role: ), your id is . Your first superadmin is . I see entries in my session table, but I suspect something with the session state is not working. Any thoughts? I am using OSX 10.5.4 with the version of PHP that comes with it. Also, on the topic of session, I have seen recommendations to replace CI session code? Was this for previous versions of CI or also 1.6.3? Thanks!
