Reformated, reinstalled from scratch just as described in the earlier posts. Performed the tests just as you laid them out with the exception of shortening the codeigniter directory to cdigr with the hopes of saving keystrokes later on. Works perfectly. Thank you very much for the precise succinct help. Outstanding!!!
