If nobody can get access to the Twitter account, why not create a new one? It can be named something like CodeIgniter Foundation to make it clear it's an official account and not a fan account. It makes no sense to not be present on social media. I'm willing to create and run the account to help increase the visibility of CI. Maybe it would be a good idea to have some kind of social media team that share the credentials so the account doesn't end up locked up again in the future.

@kilishan : Exactly, how long ago has it been since we tried to access the Twitter account? Is it possible to try again?

In general, I do have a lot to say about getting the word out about CI and getting more people/companies involved but I understand that it is a lot of work. I appreciate the effort that is keeping CI alive and active. I'm looking forward to contributing more to CI to assist in getting the word out. STAY TUNED......

@includebeer and @php_rocs I messaged you in a private thread.

@captain-sensible and others - let's try to keep this thread focused please. Feel free to open a new thread to complain about my use of Wordpress on a personal site if you'd like. I was a little busy with the framework, a book, an auth library, the occasional video and tutorials, and even building out Bonfire 2, which is coming along very nicely with some nice features to start a site on and one of these days will actually have a blog component. I haven't talked about it much yet on the forums because I haven't released a final version and I'm in the middle of a very large refactor of it. If you want to know more, though, feel free to checkout the Github repo. All in my limited spare time.

You're right - I could have waited and threw something together. I've done it before, and there's something I built for the CI website I could have borrowed. But I didn't.

And that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread about whether you've considered contributing and if anything got in your way or would have made that simpler for you. I'm trying to see what can make the contributions simpler. Personally, I think there's something in our process that gets in the way, which is part of why I started this thread, but so far no one has mentioned it so I might not be correct. Looking forward to more responses, though.

I believe I mentioned about it. The management issue was for this actually. Who should I talk to if I have something in my mind?
Maybe I am looking for a teamwork and you want to see individual attempts?

BTW, I don't care the Wordpress site. 'Coz I don't believe that you or CI would be awarded or praised if it was a CI based blog.

I agree with demyr. The management is a big issue.

Probably when Jim Parry was the project lead, it was him.
But who is the chairperson now?

Do you mean PHPUnit testing?
What prevents it?

There appears to be very little commentary on contributions to send pull requests.

Does anyone have any comments on this matter?

I'm curious - have you ever wanted to contribute to CodeIgniter, but ended up not pursuing it? If so, what stopped you? I'm trying to see how we can a) get more people involved in this open source project and b) see if there's anything that's making it difficult that we can help smooth out.

I'd love to see more people involved in all of the different aspects so the project can grow faster to continue meeting everyone's needs.

Thanks for your input.

If someone wants to contribute, where can they ask team members if the capability they want to develop can be merger?
I was contribute recently, if I had known about the merger from the beginning, I would have provided a more complete code before requesting the PR.
The PR post made me realize that it was merging, but it would have been more complete if I had known from the beginning.
My ignorance of this made me [b] take a lot of time from the team members [/ b]. [b] Although they are patient with me [/ b].
So, where to ask team members before submitting PR?

These forums are the perfect place to ask about new features. If you're interested in helping with bug-fixes, feel free to look through the existing issues on GitHub and see if there's something you feel you could contribute to. We'll always be happy to help provide guidance on anything you want to tackle there.

Quote:Please submit feature requests to our [forum](https://forum.codeigniter.com/forum-29.html).
We use github issues to track bugs and planned work.

You can find bugs when you search issues with "bug" label.
https://github.com/codeigniter4/CodeIgni...abel%3Abug
If someone sends a PR to fix one of them, it would be merged.

But what's the planned work?
I'm not sure, so I put "missing feature" label on issues.
https://github.com/codeigniter4/CodeIgni...feature%22
It would be better we will add "planned work" label to state it is the planned work,
and it would be merged if someone send a PR to implement it.

There are also "documentation" issues.
https://github.com/codeigniter4/CodeIgni...umentation
It would be also merged.

And finally, "testing" issues.
https://github.com/codeigniter4/CodeIgni...%3Atesting
It would be also merged.
